During Christie’s travel, she found that many people in India enjoyed having their picture taken! Children in impoverished areas had never seen a digital image of themselves, and loved looking at the screen to see their image for the first time. Whether it’s that deep look into a child’s eyes, the stolen moment of men working late hours in their tiny shops, or people catching a respite in all of the chaos, you are instantly transported into the story.
India is a riot of color. The scenes are unlike any other place in the world. Each picture takes you to a different and amazing moment: light dancing on uncommonly beautiful and colorful landscapes, breathtaking ceremonies at sunrise, the simple beauty of verdant rice fields or the magnificence of ornate and ancient statues in temples. India is truly a photographer’s delight!

View the amazing people and places that captured Katrell Christie’s heart on her journey through India. As she traveled through Mumbai, Delhi, Agra, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Goa, Darjeeling and during train rides between places, she was able to capture many of the personalities and scenes she experienced.
